Lakewood Country Club is sad to announce the passing of long-time supporter and member G.F. Gainey. Mr. G.F. was one of the patriarchs of the club, serving as past president, board member, and as a financial advisor. Members for more than 50 years, Mr.

G.F, and his wife Sylvia are staunch benefactors of both the club and the surrounding community. His valuable contributions and friendships will be greatly missed. If you ever had the pleasure of playing a round of golf with him, you know he was a humble man with the most beautiful and effortless swing. The club has lost a great friend in Mr. G.F.

Lakewood Country Club  provides a beautiful yet challenging 18-hole, par 72 golf course open to the public, a crystal clear swimming pool with slide and diving board, an attractive and spacious clubhouse for all events. Our membership options are available for everyone to take advantage of, but we are also open to the public as well. When choosing Lakewood, you will appreciate our attentive and personalized care for our members, guests and grounds. We are located between Roseboro and Salemburg, North Carolina and have been proudly serving our neighbors since 1966.
